IT was during a conversation over a cup of coffee between two local restaurateurs, Andy Surace the owner of Fellini’s and Savvas Andreou the owner of Sea Pebbles, that the idea of banding together Hatch End’s various businesses first sprang to life. The Hatch End Trade Association was formed in 2009 after an initial meeting to discuss the impending parking restrictions by the local council. The founding committee members were Adrian Mutti, Mike Allenby, Allan Carr, Peter Jacques, Paresh Patel & Mohamed Enus, all traders of Hatch End, who are passionate about keeping Hatch End vibrant. The Committee of the Hatch End Trade Association began to promote the Broadway by putting on events, which started from small wine tasting event, the erection of the first ever Christmas Tree and Street Lighting in the Broadway and then full Broadway events, such as the successful Royal Wedding Street Event and the Diamond Jubilee Street Event. Then with our campaign to keep our parking FREE in Hatch End, we have made friends with our local Councillors, Council Officials, Mayors and the Hatch End Residents Association. We have also helped our traders save money with their day to day running costs with various initiatives, such as reduced refuse collection charges etc. In addition to the above we have raised funds for various charities as well as a fund towards the Christmas Lighting Displays. If you are a trader in Hatch End, you are eligible to join, for further details please contact our Membership officer, Mike Allenby on 020 8421 4222 or complete the membership application form.

I hope that you will join and be part of something great!
